I am using DVDx to rip straight to Mpeg and VCDEasy to burn to VCD. The quality is mostly excellent but I am getting quite noticible pixelation and random blocks of colour popping up on screen. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and how I can avoid it in future.

don't use dvdx...use tmpgenc to encode and set the motion precision to the highest level and you can avoid a lot of that problem, but won't eliminate all of it... if you do svcd try to get the maxium bps you can and that helps a lot also

Unfortunately I have to use DVDx because I don't have enough hard disk space at the moment to rip to hard drive
