    Pinnacle Studio DV and Ulead captures from my Sony Digita8 camcorder to AVI with resolution 360 / 288 only.

    I'm using IEEE-1394 interface (i-Link)

    Which resolution support Digital8 ?

    Check Ulead's FAQ file. Ulead reported my captures as 720x480 but Premiere showed them as 360x240. When captured in premiere they come out 720x480

    so Ulead is the problem! i was wondering why i'd set my DV captures to 720x480 DV and i'd only get 360x480! video quality still looks pretty good, though...

    i just discovered that ulead videostudio IS capturing 720x480 but that other apps, like media player, are just not recognizing the true rez. recommendation was to install DirectX8...
