I am pulling my hair out in frustration!
Got a new G4 Dualie w/Superdrive, 1.5 GB of Ram,
    and Toast Titaninum 5.2

picked up to DVds from CockBlockbuster to test out
    on Toast.

The first disk was a DVD-9 because whenI put it into the superdrive
it came up as Untitled DVD 5.8GB. So I skipped that one because all
    I had were 4.7GB DVD-R blanks.

So the second one I put in, came up as
    REIGNINDARK
    4.3GB

so I clicked the record button, and
it started to read the DVD, started to
set it self for "Disk at Once"
then it came up withthe following error:
    error -36
could not copy the disk because of an error

I click ok,and it ejects the disk.

so then, I launch Disk Copy ( I'm in OS X, version 10.24 btw)
and I tell it to mount and make disk image from the DVD
in my superdrive. IT reads the disk, gets to the .vob file, and
then gives me an error that "Disk Copy failed to mount the disk.
    error -1099".

Is there a way to do this? the disk when played in my RCA
DVD player showed any MACROVISION screen, could this
be that? OR is something not set right in Toast, Diskk Copy, or my Mac?

    thanks in advance!

  3. PS2Daddy is right, all DVDs are encrypted. Try using DVDBackup. BTW, you really shouldn't backup DVDs that you don't already own
