  1. dun4cheap, how do you average 30 rentals a month with a $20.00 netflix account? Last I remember a $20.00 account meant that you could only have 3 out at a time, with shipping and processing times, I can see maybe getting 4 shipments per month, which would mean about 12 dvds per month max...?

  2. It currently takes me 2 days to get a dvd. When I get one It goes back into the mail the next day at the main post office. I usually get 6 within a week.

I'll do you one better. Since I'm near the distro center, I get a next-day turnaround, meaning about 9-12 DVDs every 10 days

Is it worth the cost of a DVD burner and my time to copy a movie that only cost $15 to purchase?

    A blank dvd $1
cost of burner over 50 copies $3
    personal time $10 or more
Computer costs larger hard drive or faster processor, electricity $???
cost of DVDXcopy over 50 copies $2
Subtotal $16 or more per copy.

For a handful of copies forget it and buy another DVD.
If do this all the time then go for it.

I have over 300 dvds (let say they are all backups but backups that I didnt buy someone gave them to me..LOL) now compute the savings

and please dont add in computer costs because regardless If I did backups or not I'd have a nice computer. and dont add in dvdxcopy fees...Lets say I'm doing them with just ifoedit.

    over 300 dvds..i've saved alot!!!!!!!!!!

  6. I have finally made the jump from being the svcd master to being a dvdr newbie... lol I have bought dvd95 and i love the program however i do have an issue with copytodvd as the demo version was expired when i downloaded it so no tryout.. i got nero free with my burner so im usin that. however I am looking to master dvd movies on the side for freelance work and I have seen a few menus that I would dearly love to copy and use in my own creations like in the movie formula 51 and all about the benjamins...
but anyways enough off topic rambling...

my total cost per dvd is under 2 bucks not counting rental fees...lol

howevr i would like to be ableto tweak dvd95 to be able to squeeze awhole dvd5 down to 700 megs and see if the dvd file structure works on acdrom i dont see any reason for it not to work sofar anyways.
