Hi,

I use DRU500AX, Nero latest version to backup my data files on Sony, Maxell, Fuji DVD-RW and DVD+RW medias.

After burning i cannot view the cd i burned on my Samsung DVD-ROM drive.

How do you guys burn Datat files and how do you close session?

I've used EZCD Creator 5 platinum and EZCD 6 with no problems. Can't help you with Nero.

Nero may be [more than likely is] your problem. I use Record Now Max which uses DLA [Drive Letter Access] and all you do is view and use the DVD+/-RW as if it were a big floppy [after formating for DLA] RE: drag and drop. Works well for me Pioneer DVR-105x2 HP 200ix2.

Although Nero has been giving me terrible problems with DVD-Rs and DVD+Rs, it has never had a problem with DVD_/+RWs.

To make the DVD-RW (or +RW) readable on a DVD-ROM drive, you must have a closed session disk and the disk must preferably be an ISO or a UDF/ISO disk. If that is the case, then the DVD-ROM should be able to read the disk.

Are you certain that this DVD-ROM drive can read DVD-RWs? Most can but you may have the odd one. Try using the disk on other, recent models.
