    im new to all this and have done six films in my first go,lol,kida easy really thanks to the superb guides!but the only question i have is it normal that it takes forever to encode and is there any way to speed it up?

    i mean i encoded lotr2t and it took 5 hours to do all three discs!

  2. That sounds about right, if you updated your computer details I could give you a more definite answer. I have a 2.53 p4 with 512 mb of ram and to do a one and a half hour film takes between an hour and an hour and half.

    And this is forever for you? I once did a NTSC to PAL DVD conversion with Canopus Procoder & Mastering quality settings - convertin a 90 min video took 170 hours on a 800 MHz Duron.

  4. damn man i would have lost patience!lol i want it and i want it now,

    no to be honest being a newbie i thought that they wouldnt take that long!

    ive got m8s who copy dvd to vcd and never really bothered until now and see that it takes a long time,oh well wont put me off but perhaps only encode over night or something.......


    so no way of speeding it up without adding to my comp then?
