I have a pioneer dvdr105 drive and I cant seem to rip faster than 2x. My drive reads dvd's at 12x....does anyone know how I can make the dvd ripping speed faster??? thanks

The 105 burner can't rip faster than 2x.
Get a DVD-ROM for this purpose. Where do you live? If in the US - then get the MadDog 16x from CompUSA. Cheap and fast. Mine was a special and less than $20 after mail-in. It ripped average 9.3x / max 12.3 on a disc last night. I have actually never checked before how fast ist is. And it is.... -
ok thanks for the info...is it possible to upgrade the firmware or somehow hack my 105 drive to get faster ripping speeds? if so how much risk is involved..? thanks
