  1. Can someone please help me with the simplest way to convert a VOB file into a MPEG so I can import the new Mpeg movie file into Ulead DVD Workshop?

I know there's got to be a simple way to do it, but I didn't see and guides explaining it.

    Thank you for the help!

  2. You can de-mux/de-multiplex the VOBs into seperate streams (m2v - video, ac3 - audio, subtitle, etc) using most DVD Ripping programs. If the VOBs are already on your HD use smartripper.

    1) Run smartripper
    2) Choose the dir where you ripped your DVD
    3) Select the title with the video of interest
    4) Click on stream process
    5) Click the box to enable stream process
    6) Click the streams you want to demux and select demux

You have to choose demux FOR EACH STREAM (that is click on the video, choose -demux, click on the audio - choose demux, etc).

Once you have the m2v and ac3 (or other streams) you can edit them as desired.

  3. Thanks for the tips.

I followed what you said and ended up with the 2 files (m2v and ac3). Now, how can I turn them into 1 MPEG2 file? I tried using TMPGEnc multiple times with the same bad results.

When I load the finished MPEG into Ulead DVD Workshop it ends up looking great but sounding very "tinny". Any ideas to what I am doing wrong?
