Sony DRU500a Owners Must Read

I just wanted to let you Sony users know that I have called Sonic, and Sony both enquiring where the Update to MyDVD 4.5 is. Sonic informed me that they do not intend on releasing this special sony version. Further more Sonic has released an update to the MyDVD 4 but it is not available to the Sony OEM software users.

Sony was very short on the phone with me telling me if Sonic makes it available they would post it, but at this point they don't intend to. I called Sonys 1-888-476-6972 and spent 20 minutes on the phone and was told to call this number 1-800-588-3847.

Well I just wanted to update everyone.

thanks for the update but not sure about the rest of you guys but i think that program stinks. its a good program for a newbie but thats about it. i guess if they made it so the audio wasn't pcm when converting to dvd so it wouldn't take up so much space. it might be a lot better program. i hate the idea of only being able to put a little over ahour on a dvd because they wanted to audio to be pcm format. well i guess you could always convert the audio before you use the software but then whats the point in using it then? just my two cents.

I've never used it and I probably wont. There are many other programs you could use.
