My Cd Burner is a Samsung SV4012H. It came with amy Emachine Computer. I have a 1.8 ghz processor and WinXP. My Problem is that my cd burner doesn't burn at 40x any more. I mean it says 40x but it takes like 8 or 9 minutes. When I first got the PC it was burning good, it only took about 3 minutes to burn a cd. Recorder Buffer Level / State goes up and down when it used to stay at around 98%. Now it goes from 15 to 90. I don't know what the problem is but I did overburn two cds. Did that mess up my cd burner? Does anybody know?

    Al-eye,

I have the same problem, did you check to make sure that DMA was turned on? That is the main reason this happens. Hope this helps.
