    I couldn't get my CD burner LG CED-8042B working with VCDEasy/CDRDAO even though I installed the 4.71 Aspi layer on my WinXP system. It should work under CDRDAO in "generic-mmc" mode.

    Can anyone help?

    Hi,

    Please Use Force Aspi 1.7 it install Aspi Layer 4.60.1021, works fine under WinXP...

    what kind of Burning Software is installed on your System...
    and please install ForceAspi from your Harddrive not from CD
    have you tested your Aspi Installtion with aspicheck in the ForceAspi Directory ??? What is the Result of Aspicheck..

    I only have Roxio burning software.
    Aspicheck showed aspi version 4.60 for all; this is after installing ForceAspi.

    Sorry...
    But after checking the supported drives by CDRDAO... it's "R" only
    "R|Goldstar|CD-RW CED-8042B|generic-mmc"
    Which means read operation only. Too bad, and thanks for your help.
