I am having one very strange problem here and would like some help if anyone can. When I'm taking select scenes out of a video file (VCD or SVCD) to save by themselves as new scenes seperate from the original, just about any video file these days, the spot I mark in and the spot I mark out are not even close to what I end up with.
Example: If I have a 30 minute movie, and want to mark 5 minutes into the movie as the beginning of a new scene and ten minutes in as the end of the scene, when I go back and look at the newly created scene, it might actually begin at the 4 and a half minute mark of the orignal video and end at the nine and a half minute mark.
In other words, it's a full 30 seconds off. At first I thought this was happening with just SVCD files, but it's VCD's too. And it's not just Tmpgenc, I'm having the same problem with mym other mpeg editor Cineplayer. What I end up having to do is count the number of seconds off the new scene is and then go back to tmpgenc or cineplayer and purposely start the scene 30 seconds too soon (according to what my monitor shows) and set the mark out 30 seconds too soon and then it's close to right. But it's next to impossible to get it down to the exact second you want, because you're essentially working blindly.
This is one strange problem and I need someone's help
