xvid playback / converting question

i have done about 20 xvid's to dvd without any problems - have just d'loaded a movie and for some reason it wont even play let alone convert (i think i have all the codecs installed). when the movie is selected it just crashes straight away when i try to play it in media player 9, winamp, win dvd. this is what is says in g spot so i am assuming everything is ok.



Anybody got any ideas? I think the AC3 soundtrack may be the problem but don't know

sorted now it was the ac3 soundtrack - uninstalled nimo and installed seperate codecs and the movies play ok now to convert them
