  1. I have a video file that has PCM audio and every time I try add audio compression to it the program that I'm using crashes when I open the audio compression tab. I'm thinking that some audio codec I have on my system is doing this. Is there any way to check and see if one is bad and remove it?

  4. It's not the program I use. VirtualDub, Adobe Premiere, even Cleaner...any one of them I use when I try to open the audio encoding part they freeze. So I'm guessing I have a bad audio codec or something.

Uninstall all you codecs if you have installed any (nimo pack,DivX,XviD etc) and then install ONLY this codec pack called K-Lite Codec Pack 2.01 which you can find here:

  11. I know what your saying max, I dont get the codecs listed either, in the Add/Remove programs. Im not sure how to remove them manually, but im sure ive seen a program somewhere that removes codecs, but I cant remember what its called. it was either on here, doom9 or digital digest.. maybe someone else knows what program Im talking about ?

  12. I went to add remove, removed any codecs I saw, then thought to hell with it and installed the Kazaa pack anyway - regardless of any codecs lying around. Probably not the best thing to do, but I seem ok at the moment and most of my probs are fixed anyway (apart from sync when encoding XVid)
    Thx in Advance!!
