  1. My situation:

I use a MiniDV camcorder to record my swing dance partner and I doing an instructional segment. The audio portion is faint because the camcorder is pretty far away because we need room to make sure we stay in the field of vision.

I transfer the DV footage to my PC using ScenalyzerLive. It is loaded into VirtualDub and the audio is saved to a separate file. I use Goldwave to increase the RMS level which makes the audio, well, audible

Everything's good to this point. Now, I need to convert the WAV file to an MP2 file (for MPEG1) or AC3 file (for MPEG2). BeSweet does the AC3 conversion with no prob.

What do you use to convert to an MP2 file? I found a DOS program called WAV2MP, but it seems awfully slow and I'd rather avoid DOS programs if possible.

I don't know how I missed Headac3he Duh! Thanks for the heads up.

    MOVIEGEEK:
CDex converts to MP2? I use CDex myself to do my WAV/CDA --> MP3 conversions (with the LAME encoding DLL of course). Where is the option to convert to MP2? I must not be paying attention! Thanks!

  4. TheInformer,
Configure>Encoder>Internal MP2 Encoder(instead of LAME)..when you select "WAV to Compressed" it will use MP2 codec.
