    it means you can continue to use mpeg2 encoding function AFTER the 30 day trial period.

    it is. but mpeg2 encoding is only free for 30 days. after that, you have to pay for it.

  9. TMPGEnc is shareware rather than freeware.

    MPEG-2 encoding is limited to a 30-day trial. However, MPEG-1 encoding and the MPEG Tools are unlimited.

    In Plus,you can use cache funktion which will speed up the encoding multipass VBR up like 30%.

    I havenīt tried it myself but why wouldnīt be as reliable as default cuz the the only thing is using cache which will take space (4096 MB at default cache) and use it temporarly and by that way make it faster.
