    I can't seem to get any sound out from vlc since updating to system 10.2.3 .I tried rebooting in 10.1.5 to see if that would work but no go, sound is still muted.Tried both vlc 5.1.and 5.2 .Used to play fine prior to install of latest os .dvd sound from dvd player is ok though .

    any clues?

    should specify :dvd >video_ts folders sound is ok ,svcd is only format affected.
