I just made my copy of 8 Mile, as far as the feature goes, its perfect at between 70 and 80 percent. I just kept the 2.1 surround, don't use the 2.0 just because there won't be good bass. For the special features, I used 55%, and on my 19" tv it looks great! I didn't exclude any files, just compressed them. Hope this helps!

I used default on it. It was fine. I use default on all my dvd backups. Just to play it safe. The quality playback depends on the standalone machine. My Mustek looks like crap but my 6 year old Panasonic is beautiful. Anyone else see this result?

It's kinda off the topic, but I gotta agree that these new "APEX" style dvd players have bad quality. I got a Panasonic I got for $250.00 three years ago and it plays everything I put in it with great quality!
