1. I used the guide on this website to make a dvd with menus out of downloaded videos. I just made a test dvd using Ulead MovieFactory 2 and burned it to dvd+rw. It worked fine, but I had a few questions.

    1) when i select a background music the "Select a music for all menus" is greyed out, i want to make it so when you switch pages the background song doesn't start over, any advice?

    2) is there a way to have some sort of animation? like when i click a box that links to the video, it like does a little animation before it plays? (like the retail dvds from movies and stuff).

3)also about animation, is there a way to make it video buttons instead of still images? if you don't know what i mean then reply and i'll clear it up.

If Ulead can't do this, can someone recommend a program(s) that can.

  2. Sounds like you are looking for some pretty advanced features. You won't find what you are looking for in moviefactory2. The thing about backround music is it basically turns the menu into a video file, just with out moving images, so everytime you change the menu, it will change the video. As far as I know theres no way out of this. But, if you want motion menus, I use DVDworkshop also from Ulead. This allows motion buttons and backrounds. Hope this helps!

also, is there any way to make the background music fade out when a button is clicked so it doesn't seem all choppy?

  4. I had the same problem, what I do is keep the volume as low as possible for the backround music that way you don't notice as much when it cuts out. Convert the music to a WAV, then go to start, accessories, entertainment, sound recorder. Open it up in there and lower the sound a couple times.
