    I downloaded some new WM8 codecs from betanews.com and
    it looks like on my ATI mm7.1 that it gave me 2 microsoft mpeg 4 codecs that I don't think were there before.I tried the v2 and recorded 30 seconds of tv at 320x240.I played it back and it looked great!The file size was about the same size as divx 4.0 for amount of time but I think it looked slightly better.Give it a try.

    They're practically the same thing - Divx is just hacked MPEG4 codecs.
