  1. Thats the question, is this two units the same by "power" to do the capture job,, what is the diference between external (ADVC 100) and internal -ADVC 1394, I mean second card is cheaper 50 dolars so If ADVC 1394 works as ADVC-100 is it better to buy ADVC 1394?

    Thanks

  2. You can't output a digital video back to analog with the ADVC-1394 and it uses up a PCI slot and if you get the bay ( that's an option, to have easy access to the video cabling ), the price will be higher. I hear it has problems with Windows XP SP1.

The ADVC 1394 also does not have the macrovision defeating feature of the 100 model.
Movie only DVD9 to DVDR guide.

i wish they'd make an internal ADVC-100. it could still be externally powered (like run the power wire out the rear of your case). my advc-100 sits kinda awkward on top of my case. due to the amount of connections on the advc-100, it would probably have to be double height of a single drive bay, which would look even cooler sitting in a case with all its beautiful gold connectors. damn somebody forward this to the engineers at canopus!
Laserdiscs are cool, but laserdiscs on DVD-Rs are cooler.
