The other day I posted a thread indicating that I obtained wonderful quality for an avi to dvd conversion using TMPGE. I was premature in my boasting because when I finally added audio to the m2v i noticed that they were out of sync. These were my steps:
1. I scanned video stream for errors using virtual dub
2. saved out the bad frames
3. extracted wav in virt dub
4. encoded avi to dvd using TMPGE
5. converted the wav file that was produced from the avi to dvd encode to ac3
6. added m2v and ac3 into spruce up
I began authoring and when I played the movie, I noticed that the audio and video were out of sync. Could it be that my original avi had a framrate of 24fps instead of 23.976fps. If so at what point should i do a frame rate conversion and also how do I accomplish this.
Thanks in advance,
VC
