Looking for good Firewire/USB External Closure.

For my DVD Burner so i can take it to work and be able to bring it back without having to totally take it out. its a CenDyre 4X DVR-105 and my work pc is a dinky 600mhz Sony Vaio with USB and my home PC has firewire and also USB (don't know if its USB 2.0 or what so how can i find that out also?) thanks for the help guys.

I don't think a 600mhz PC can have USB2 by default. You can buy a PCI card with USB2 for $30 or less.

I don't believe you'll be able to burn a DVD without USB2 (or firewire).

Don't know really how to check, but as soon as you put a USB2 device into a USB1 port a messages in WindowsXP will tell you that you put a high speed device and you don't have a high speed port.

If your Sony at work is a laptop forget about using a DVD writer,if not CompUSA sells USB2.0 or Firewire enclosures for $60.
