  1. I know trial version only allows you to record 5 minutes. But I use retail version.

it doesn't stop after 10 minutes of recording. it seems still recording, but its not. When I look recorded file, I see 846Mb (Mpeg2, 14600 Kbit) file which is 10:00 minutes.

it is in record mode (not shifting). can anyone help?

  2. WINDVR2 is a piece of crap! Their support is very lacking. I sent a technical support report and heard back 10 days later! I bought the product directly from them I have an AVER STudio Plus card all drivers are current running under Windows XP SP1. WHen I first got it you had to do a activation via their website. Well it is paid for and on occassion you have have to activate it more then once!

The next problem was after having all sorts of problems I finally got them to send me a CD in the mail. Well they hand burned a special WINDVR2 for me and now the EGP is grayed out and can't be used and they can't understand what is causing the problem. No other applications loaded or running in background so no conflicts! Now when you go into their schedule system and setup a schedule recording the program kicks off and after about 20 minutes into a 1 hr recording the picture freezes and software locks. So when you terminate it it shuts downs and then restarts itself! but not in record mode.

If you have a good capture card and all system drivers updated running Windows XP with SP1 you will be assured of problems with this software steer clear from it!
