How should I treat some divx files with unusual framerates (14,15,30 fps)?
I want to convert them to vcd but I don't know if I should use PAL or NTSC.
I live in PAL land but my DVD/TV can play NTSC as well.
I would preffer to convert them to PAL because then I could combine some of them on the same CD and also use them to other players, but I would like to know what would give me the best quality.

30fps is close enough to NTSC standard that it should be fine. 15fps is about half NTSC, so you'll probably get the best results using that since it's an even multiplier (each frame gets doubled). 14 is probably close enough to half NTSC to use the NTSC template. The quality probably won't be that great going from 14-15fps, though.

yea, all these are pretty close to ntsc so it would be your best bet.

Thank you all for the help. I guess ntsc is the best compromise.
I had allready red the article "ZippyP." mentions but the sollution there is to use ntsc film for the strange framerates and that didn't sound good to me.
Maybe for smal clips is ok but for a whole movie?
