I'm curious to know if there is a way to have UWS automatically create chapters in a project, say every 5 minutes? Manually indicating chapter marks on numerous 2 hr movies is a killer . If it's not available, I will appreciate feedback on other authoring apps that provide this, thanks.

    What?... No UWS masters?

I have the SE version, if that makes a difference per automatic chapters...

According to the Ulead website, both SE and the full version support the ability for chapter marks set automatically per scene changes. That could work too (instead of every 5 min), but If I captured DV-AVI via pass-through on my Sony camcorder (VHS source), will I have this capability?

Don't know if DVD WS can do it, I havn't spotted this feature the few times I played with it. One Authoring app that can do pretty much this is Dazzle DVD complete. It allows you to set a certain number of chapter marks, say 10 for instance, evenly spaced throughout the movie. You can the adjust their positions if you want.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the feedback, bugster. I thougth UWS was going to be a good aquisition (per being included in a bundle from ADS), but this chapter thing has me wondering why others don't have the same complaint. I think the UI is also absolutely wacky.

With that said, I think I've found my replacement authoring product: DVD-Lab, which is supposed to be released shortly...
