  1. Hi all

I've read loads of forums and i'm getting confused as to which is the best software/ method. I need to convert from avi (xvid) to DVD.
Firstly i've tried ulead moviefactory 2 and InstantCD/DVD(VOB), and both give audio sinc problems.

If i use Tmpgenc should i convert the audio into a wav file (virtualdub) and put it into the audio file and do ES vid and audio or just ESvideo?

Once converted should i then use ulead moviefactory to author?
If i did this would i put the converted video file in, then the wav in background audio? This is the area where i get a bit lost

Also once i have a video-ts file and audio-ts file which is the best program to use to get the final film onto disc?

Your help would be very much appreciated!

  2. I've had best success stripping wav with Vdub, opening video and WAV with Vdub and Frameserving to Tmpgenc, encode video and audio to desired spec, burn. No DVD burner so can't help there.

With many DL files, you must scan for bad frames, correct framerate, manually resize audio file, apply noise filters, etc .

    Yeah, it's a lengthy process.
