Instant Copy and 8 mile???

has anyone tried instant copy on this movie????? i have only tried it on 3 movies and the other 2 came out ok.... well wit 8 mile when i tryied to go to the bouns (prob best part of the whole movie) it kept looping... i did 2 dvds and its doing it on both of em...... has anyone else had a problem

Done 8 Mile with IC7 with no problems whatsoever in fact it is the best backup that IC has given me to date

Im gonna have to agree with MrBlond. I did a copy of 8Mile and it is the best copy i have made yet with IC.
Everything came out perfect. I even watched it on my 36' Samsung HDTV and it looks exactly like the origional. Everyone that has seen it, thinks im like a "god". Hahahahahaha....If they only knew!

Anyways, maybe its because i used those "hidden settings" i got from Doom9. I took some advice on the settings from people over there and the outcome was 4.32gb of perfection! LoLzz

Nice opinion, I actually think alot of the music out there all sounds like each other. Rock, Rap, or what ever you want to call "not music" keep it to yourself unless asked. This was a I need help backing up a movie thread, not XX sucks thread. I have backed this movie up with IC7 and also have issues with the bonous areas, I really havent tried to hard to correct this but I would like a complete backup and help would be appreciated.

well i checked my " FIRST COPY " and it did work.... the one i was actually checking was a second dvd i made and for some reason when i go to extras it wont work..... in fact now it wont let me use the menu....... when i did the movie i set it to record 2 to 3 copies.... i let it do 2 but cut if off after tht because it kept starting over and coverting it from the begin then recording it...... so i dont understand... i am gonna try it again and let u no what happens

Anyway to keep my post semi on topic, MOL3000, were you doing anything else on your pc while this second disc was burning??? I always find that it is best to restart after a burn, and my system isn't the worst one out there, and it is kinda sluggish after a burn. So I always restart it before working on another movie.

what settings are you guys using for 8 mile? this is my first attempt at IC7 and want to get the best quality i can? so, for you who made a good backup, what settings (what did you leave out, what parcentage rate for the titles, and so on) did you use?

I just made my copy of 8 Mile, as far as the feature goes, its perfect at between 70 and 80 percent. I just kept the 2.1 surround, don't use the 2.0 just because there won't be good bass. For the special features, I used 55%, and on my 19" tv it looks great! I didn't exclude any files, just compressed them. Hope this helps!

First i would recommend getting the IC(hidden settings) Editor 1.0...You can find it over at Doom9. If you can't find it then PM me.

Anyways once you have it and open it up...You will see 3 percentage bars. The first one is DVDAnalyzeMaxRel, which i set to 16%. The second one i changed was DVDSaveQuality, which i brought down to 2%. I then saved the settings and closed it. Now you can open up IC and do what you gotta do. LoLzz J/k But seriously i forget my exact settings within IC but i do know my Menu was 85% and the main movie was about 73%. I then messed with the extras at a reasonable percentage, but nothing under 55%.
Once you hit the max which is what 4.32gb? I then pressed F5 which allowed me to raise up a couple of extras a bit and raise the final output to 4.36gb.

In the end, the final movie was 4.32gb which is pretty damn close to perfection!
And i will say this again, the movie looked great!

P.S. If you dont want to save and keep those exact setings within the hidden settings editor, after you are done with your movie...Then go ahead and delete the "discdata.add" and "discdata.adi" files.
