Media is getting scarce here and I wanted to get some stash

Does someone know DVD-R "DataWrite", with a -very- bright yellow surface and white characters? It has a purple dataside and is 1x.

You guys have good or bad experiences with this media?
How about the manufacturer? (Nero CD Speed?)

PS, any thoughts about the DataWrite 2x media?

I intent to use it for DVD Video, not for data.
I don't wanna end up like I did with Princo 2x media. Playback errors in the outer area of the disc.

    Thanks in advance,
    Mrsnake

Thanks, but I meant recognising and playback on standalone DVD players.
Even non-DVD-Video compliant discs will play on a PC DVD-ROM.

  4. datawrite yellow 1 speed dvd-r is perfect for me,i bought 100 yesterday and previously have bought about another 300 of these discs.i think they have a princo dye, rarely have any bad writes with them, and are played back smoothly on many dvd players from my experience.
I often use the full capacity of the disc for films and there are no problems with the outer regions of the disc.
I use a pioneer dvd player and no problems at all with datawrite yellow.
The grey ones [datawrite classic] are good too.

    EXCELLENT BUDGET MEDIA!
I have used them on Movies, Games and Backing up files with no problems. Work fine in PS2 & XBOX for games and Movies. Backed up movies work on most standalone dvd players.
ALSO if you have a pioneer 103, 104 or NOW even 105 you can download firmware that will make ANY 1x media 2x. Plus make your drive region free.
