I've been converting movies for over two years now,
and I've come across something I'd like to get your
opinion on. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I'm
hoping for a little knowledge.

I've been getting some movies with a decompressor
I can't remember seeing before. I'm used to seeing
either DivX or XviD but this: MS MPEG-4 3688 V3,
has some strange properties. Now I'm finding this
info thru VirturalDub---->File---->File Information.

Once I try to bring the movie into TMPGEnc, I get
this error message: File "C:\xyz\file name" can not
be opened or supported
. So I decided to pull the
audio and save it as a .wav file. Then reintroduce
it to the video. That works, and I'm able to import
it into TMPGEnc.

The problem is this! What I get out of this process
(SVCD) is so poor video wise, that its unwatchable.
Certain parts of the video turn pink and pixelate.
This is throughtout the movie.

Am I missing something, or is the problem the new
decompressor?

TIA
