  1. Sorry if it's a newb question, but I tried searching a little on my own. I was wondering if theres a way to output video (or audio also) from my PC to my digital camcorder through the firewire port. I'm asking cuz this guy a friend of mine knows once used his camcorder as a second monitor at a computer game LAN party. He was capturing the video just as it appeared on his monitor.

Is there any software out there that can do this? I'm guessing from the way it was described he did it, no additional hardware is needed. The Sony user manual isn't too in depth about functions of the 2-way firewire port. Thanks in advance

I should imagine he used the tv out on a graphic & the audio out from a sound card. The same a setting tv out to a tv.

  3. This may be another way to go.

The Freeware Screen Recorder and audio.
CamStudio Recorder for capturing screen activity.
CamStudio Movie Player which can play back AVI files.

  4. Thanks Rond for that link. In respone to the first guy, he may have done that. But I thought the only type of "In" connections on a camcorder would be the firewire input. Now if there was a cable that could convert S-video output from the PC, to Firewire input into the camcorder, that would work. Has anyone ever heard of this before? That's essentially what I'm trying to get accomplished.
