Trying to capture from DV camcorder straight to Mpeg2 with Ulead VideoStudio 6.0 OR MovieFactory 2, I keep getting an error that says "invalid video aspect ratio(720); should be set to 540" then says the file is corrupt and will automatically be deleted. I am setting the new file template on either program to NTSC DVD 720x480, 29.97 fps but when I actually go to capture it that way, it gives me this error.....
Ulead has been unresponsive to email to their tech support.....
Anyone else experienced this problem?

I have noticed with the ulead products that when you use a compliant capture template (DVD or SVCD) it expects the input to already be the correct resolution. Any variation and it will refuse to capture.
This suggests that your video is 540 pixels wide so you may only be able to capture as an ordinary MPEG2 file - that is, you will need to select the 'custom' template, but this means to get a DVD result you will have to let ulead re-render the capture.
