I captured a TV-Movie and the result is a interlaced .mov.
Now, when I preview the .mov on my tv using quicktime, .... shure no problems cause the target is TV.
But ...., do I have to interlace the movie when encoding to m2v??? I mean, I will play back the movie also on TV using a DVD Player. Is it necessary to deinterlace the .mov????
Thanks!

Hi!
I think that you should not deinterlace, if your target is TV.
But you have to tell the mpeg2encoder do make a interlaced m2v, otherwise the picture quality will be bad!
Command line option for mpeg2enc: -I 1
