  1. Hello, I have tried a few times to burn a large mpg file ( about 3.4GB) on to a dvd-rw that I have. It burns but will not play on anything. I don't want to try a dvd-r cause I don't want to start burning coasters. I wanted to know how to burn Large mpg files or mulitple mpg files onto one dvd-r. For example. I wanted to burn some music videos onto a dvd-r or some tv eps I have on to one dvd-r. How would I go about doing that. Do I have to have nero set to something special. Or maybe my question has been answered on someones guide, but I haven't see it yet. Thanks

I think he is trying to make a dvd. but it entitles more than just burning mpeg to a disc. you must use some authoring software to create the files to burn as a dvd video. Do some reading

  4. Click on the author links to the left. Freeware wise:

is a good place to start. As others have said you can't just drag and drop a MPEG file on a DVD-R and have your standalone play it. You need to author the MPEG into a several DVD based files. Click on WHat is DVDR for more info.

  5. If you just want a easy 'drag n drop' way to make a DVD then you have to use Nero Vision Express. (The normal Nero cant do this) Just add your Mpg or Avi files and Nero will convert them and burn compatablie files onto your DVD-R/W. Its not the fatest thing in the world though and a better approach would be to use authoring software like Spruce Up or IfoEdit can make a simple DVD.

  6. Thank you all for your help. I have read a few different user guides, but I really don't understand them. I already have the file I want to burn but the guides are for ripping or adding .vob's I just have one Mpg file that I want to burn. Some one mentioned InfoEdit will that work. Do I have to change my mpg file to something else first. Let me know thanks!!
