Convert MOV to MPG

I need to convert some quicktime Movies I created on my Olympus C-700 to AVI or MPG so I can edit them in MGI VideoWave 5. I use TMPGEnc to convert them but I loose the sound. Any suggestions?

I did find the file on the internet but when I try to convert a file it gives me "Failure: componentOpenErr"

Did you install the Quicktime plug-in for TMPGEnc?If so it sounds like the MOV file isn't compliant.
Where's tgpo when you need him?

I'm right here. I can help with Quicktime, but have never even seen TMPGEnc.
