  1. Could anyone please help. I have researched this subject but can only find problems relating to burning difficulties.

THE PROBLEM: The computer stops after about 85% (3.7gb to 4.1gb) when copying the dvd image to the HD.

SOFTWARE: Tried DVDdecryptor, Stomp and Mr B's Gold Recorder (The latter came with the recorder.

HARDWARE: 900mhz, 512 ram, 40gb HD (loads of free space), Ricoh 2.4x DVD+R recorder.

OS: Tried 98SE (fat 32) and 2000 pro (NTFS) Had to reformat HD to reload OS's.

DMA: Tried both enable and disabled.

OTHER INFO: The dvd is recognised in device mgr - no conflicts. I can play dvd's through win dvd. Tried different dvd's - same problem.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Many Thanks

  2. Are you sure 2000 was NTFS? I was running XP and still had to convert from fat32 to NTFS.
Don't give in to DVD2ONE, that leads to the dark side.

  3. Try smartripper, check to make sure valid ASPI layer is installed, play DVD with software DVD player prior to ripping.

  4. Thankyou both for your comments. Reference NTFS on 2000, it is definetly the correct file system. But where do I find a new ASPI layer? Is it specific to my Ricoh player like a driver?

    Many Thanks once again
