  1. hi

I've got an Xvid movie in two parts on two cd's and what i want to do is
join them together to put them on one dvd.

As the movie is split there is a 2 second overlap from the 1st disk on the second. I want to know the best way to get rid of this and join it seemlessly

the video i can frameserve with AVisynth to cee and trim it at the required frame but what about the audio?
What's the best way to deal with that?

    Any help appreciated

Load the two parts in VirtualDub, and cut out the overlapping part. Then frame serve to your encoder.

  3. I've tried that but due to the audio being variable bit rate VDub will not load both parts.

If i demux the auido and video I can load both video parts but not the
    audio.

I could reencode the audio re multiplex and then load both parts into
vdub and then chop out the unwanted bit.

then i'd have to save a new WAV file and framserve the video to CCE
and reencode the audio again as an MP2 for authoring by spruce up.

I was kind of hoping for a less time consuming solution but if that's the way it has to be.....

    thanks for the suggestion though
