two planes crash in new york trade towers

I live on long island and work in Far Rockaway. My parents were going nuts trying to get in touch with me until I called them. I have only lived here since March so that have no idea of distance when it comes to NY. As soon as I walked into work I saw the second tower get hit by the plane on channel 7 local cable. Most of the people I work with were crying at some point during the day and none of us have lost anyone. I think it is incredible how people are doing in this time of crisis.

A tragic day for democracy. I am guessing that upto 10,000 people lost their lives today as a consequence of the attacks. I just happened to turn the news on just after the second plane hit the other WTC building, at first I thought it was an accident but man, was i wrong. The news that came in seemed to be surreal; it was like a fu-ck-ed (Sorry Baldrick) up ending of a James Bond movie. I heard the reports of people jumping from the burning buildings, I would guess in an attempt to give themselves an instant death instead of buring to death - The scene must have been horific to say the least.
A lot will change as a result of what happened today. I hope that this time the US will not respond by throwing cruise missiles at innocent people, but by capturing the actual group responsible for these atrocities and putting them to justice properly.

Another buliding in newe york has collapsed due to the collpas ofthetwintowers here in chicago they are telling pilots to get out of uniform so that they will not be targeted for future purposes. it is really serious here a lot of things shut down today. Chicago o'hare airport the worlds buisest airport is under heavy sercurity. Plus in no way am i racist but someone really has to show who ever these bastards are and teach them a good leson that it is not right to target innocent people for their stupid beliefs.
At first i was well against and i mean there is no way in HELL that i would join the military to fight any stupid fight. but after watching this live on my tv and thinking that they say that thousands of people could be dead. If need to be i will not shroud in terror in my house needed be i would join the armed forces and fight against this act of terroism against my nation. im no freedom fighter but im am deeply moved by this i couldnt stop watching this on tv as my jaw dropped in aw. i just hope that they are avenged and so that their soles can rest in peace or none of us will.

The more & more I sit here, watched the replays on the news, see these a$$e$ dancing/laughing in the street in the middle east, and hear the fighter jets fly over my house (I live near Pearl Harbor/Hickam Air Force base)...I just get more & more pi$$ed...Im sick of this crap from these terriorists!..when will our government realize that WAR as they know it no longer exists, IT AINT 1941 no more...ever since the latter ends of the Korean War...no one fights us head on, vietnam, omar kadafi (sp?), Hussein, etc....they all fight dirty, we need to get off our fight fair horse and get down & dirty with these muhphuckas...."you dont take a knife to a gun fight"....ugggggggg man I soooo pi$$ed....Im a go find this bin laden muhphucka myself...

For those who need my version on interprestation, dont know if I would exactly call NYC or DC, the City of God, but sounds good none the less...2 brothers torn apart = twin towers, the fortress endures = Pentagon,not as f-cked as the WTC...the great leader = Bush, well I dont know if I would use the word GREAT with "Gee Dub", but the title does carry some mistique, and his aparent running all over the country can be mildly construed as succumbing...big city burning = from afar it seems like it is on fire...

i live in harlem, which is located in the northern part of manhattan. from my terrace i was able to see the terror done to the twin towers. i was watching the news and the people of palistine was celebrating in the street and even what look like a parade on bbc network. i really hope those people are ready to go to war and fight against a really pissed off america! this tradedy is being toted as the biggest terrorist attack in history! belive you me... to have america wanting revenge is worse than the nation responsible just simply killing themselves. i just hope the u.s. dont go as far as gathering the arib and musilim imagrants in new york and the u.s. and setting up boot camps! they drew first blood and will get rambo'ed!!!!

This is just Terrible... I was in total disbelief when I turned on the tv this morning, and absolutely horrified to see the amatuer footage of the second crash into the tower. It's so sad! This was an attack against civilization, and I fear the world will never be the same again, as I don't even feel safe anymore here in Canada. This was a cowardly act, and I hope/wish/pray they capture those responsible.

here's my 2 cents worth. this is the beginning of the end. yes, it was forseen by Nostradamus but it is also told in Revelations. i have done everything in my life that i have asked God for. a while back i asked God to just let me live long enough to see my baby born. she is now 4 months old. i hope that this is not the end but if it is, i am satisfied with my life even though i'd now like to see my little girl grow up but if not, i am ready to meet God and see my little girl in Heaven........

Reports are saying 800 people have been killed in the Pentagon.

Almost 300 Firefighters have been killed trying to save others from the rubble.

I have never seen anything like this in my life.

My feelings go to those families who lost their loved ones in this most heinous and cowardly act of terrorism. These cowards want war but do not dare to properly go to war with proper military. Instead they chose an easy target in the World Trade Centre twin towers where tens of thousands of innocent civilians (people like you and me) work.

Even though this is a truly despicable act by these terrorists, we must NOT let this descend into World War III. Justice must be done but let us not act indiscrimately.

Let us pray for peace and comfort for those affected by this sad tragedy.
