Error when joining two divx files... The video streams have.

Can you help me. Im trying to combine different clips from different action movies. Im using Virtual Dub to append. But i get the this error (video streams have different sampling rates 23.98 vs 23.98.) I have the same resolution for both files, theirs no audio and both my files have 23.976 and they both have the same divx codec. If any one could tell me whats wrong or a easy way to adjust files so they are easy combined.

For vdub to be able to join files together the file perameters need to be identicle. This is obviously not the case in your situation. The easiest way would be to reencode the clips using the same settings (bitrate, framerate, res, etc) and then join the resulting clips. There will be a slight loss in quality due to the encoding process but you will at least be able to join the clips.

...or you could cheat by changing the frame rate with AVIFRATE, and make sure to set both at 23.976
