I just got a Dell Dimension 8250 with a NEC ND-1100A DVD+RW drive. I have been trying to use VCDEasy to burn a VCD, but it tells me it can't find the right driver. First it told me it couldn't find a drive, but I used the Force ASPI tools and now it will at least recognize the drive, but I don't know what driver to use. I tried the Generic MMC driver, but I got a coaster out of it.

Has anyone with this drive been able to successfully burn using VCDEasy? If so, what driver did you force it to use?

    Thanks,
    Brian

I have not had experience with your drive, but I would say to try generic-mmc-raw and make sure force execution is checked. Generic-mmc and generic-mmc-raw cover most IDE CD burners.

I got the same system as you & i haven't got VCDEasy to burn to my drive. Its no big deal just use it to create a bin image & burn that with any number of burning applicaions. I use Alcohol 120% for this.

    Thanks for the info everyone.

I used the generic-mmc-raw driver and made sure Forced Execution was checked and it worked fine. I appreciate all the help.
