  1. All i want to do is take videos and put them on dvd. thats it. and i've spent a ton of money on programs. I have Ulead MediaStudio6.5 and DVD workshop1.3. First, i capture the clips using mediastudio and then edit them, then convert them in the same program. When i try to open them on dvd Workshop, the whole program shuts down without telling me what the problem is or anything. It will open up smaller files, but not the larger ones that ive edited. I'd apreciate the help. thanx

  2. Chainsaw:

If all you want to do is take videos and put them on DVD then you've spent way too much money for such a basic task. Do you have any other software you can try the authoring with? For example, try the demo of DVD Movie Factory or try the $30 NeoDVD to see if they work. If your MediaStudio-created MPEG2 file works with other software, then DVD Workshop could be the culprit. Otherwise, there could be something wrong with the way MediaStudio encodes your MPEG2.

  3. DVD Workshop can capture and convert to MPG on the fly (so they say). It does work but you may find the quality less then what you can get elseware.
If you have Media Studio Pro and the DVD plug-in, you can create a DVD right in MSP. It's basically a stripped down version of DVD movie Factory.
