  1. I just bought a DVD burner and want to create dvd's but need some help.

How do I frame serve to cce. My source's are tv captures from virtualdub (720x480 picvideo mjpeg multisegment)
I tried to use virtualdub's frame serve feature but cce can't read the file.

Plus what would you suggest 2 or 3 shows per DVD if they are roughly 42 minutes each

Plus where could I find a good bitrate calculator that isn't java (the one in the tools section I can't use) It should work something like tmpgenc's wizard calc

    Re: Frameserving.
Did you install the VDUB framserver handler? (i.e. Run the AuxSetup.exe file and select 'Install Handler').

If that's not the problem you can also try AVISYNTH using the 'SegmentedAviSource("")' instruction.

  3. I found away around it by formating a partition in ntfs and stream copying to a opendml avi

And I had installed the vdub handler because it worked fine with tmpgenc

  4. I am not sure your way is the best. You should never need to copy to a new AVI. It is redundant. Anyhow, use newest CCE SP. It supports VDR and AVS frameserving officially from 2.66 on.

FitCD is the bitrate calculator with most functions.

You can also serve it with AVISynth. It's more flexiable, and it works in the YUY2 colorspace, which is faster than RGB.
Impossible to see the future is. The Dark Side clouds everything...

  6. Thanks for the info I will porbably use it over time but till then I will stream copy since virtualdub can't save a edit list and with the stream copy I can try different settings in cce without worrying about not closing virtualdub
