dvds that will play on stand alone player without mf2

I use movie factory 2 but it takes so long 2 make a dvd which plays on my dvd player sometimes about 10 hours if not longer even then some dvds repeat on themselfs.
I can make a dvd-com file with TMPGEnc i tryed burning it with nero but i wouldnt play on my player which will play anything.
Is there any other way i can make my dvds or am i doing something wrong with nero coz a dvd-com file in my eyes should play in my player.
Coz im sure all u great minded people out there r making dvds so much easyer im just trying 2 make a no frills dvd.

I assume dvd-com is dvd-compliant. Once you have this file, import it into MF and author your menus etc (if you want, otherwise just make it 1st play). If it really is DVD complaint, DVD MF will not re-encode and it will only take 30-60 minutes to generate all the required files and burn it to disk. You can't simly take a DVD compliant mpeg and burn it to disk and expect it to play (not in most players anyway!).
