hi
i have been using tmpgenc for encoding from avi to mpeg 2 for svcd and find that although the video is of a good quality the audio produced from it is not that great...
is there anything else i can use to encode the audio while letting tmpgenc do the video...
thanks

get the toolame plugin for tmpgenc, then set it to work under option | environmental setting | external tool | layer 2...this is for the j version of tmpenc, maybe different in other versions

use Toolame with tmpeg for better (much better) encoding

Hi
I have had a few films with bad audio, and have loaded the "AVI" into http://www.goldwave.com (it takes the audio only).
Then you can normalize, make it stereo and get rid of hiss, before you finally save it as a WAV
Then Use TMPGEnc Video > AVI Audio > WAV
With a program like this you can see what's going on, and can experiment with the sound on screen. -
