I've been unable to locate any 106's, but have encountered the 120. Does it have the same ripping speed capacity?

I Believe so, it's just a newer model, although i've heard the DVD-500M is a
better model when it comes to speed.Email me for faster replies!

They changed the size on something in the drive to match industry standard. I am sorry, but I forget what it is at the moment. This is the same drive as the 117. I have it and it rips on average 4.5X. I will have it as low as 3.1 and burst will hit 8X or better. I have not found a better drive, though I am sure one exist.
