  1. Let me start w/ a rundown of what I did.

I am backing up Monster's Ball, and the movie itself is 4.36gb, but I wanted to keep the menu and extras AND fit it on one DVD-R. So I stripped all unnecessary audio streams, and subtitles. This gave me a total size of 3.9gb.

To make it easier on myself, I used InstantCopy on everything but the movie (menu, extras, etc...) and was able to compress them to under 500mb.

So, no I have a direct rip of the movie, and compressed menus and extras all fitting on 1 DVD-R... HOWEVER, I have no IFOs. I tried making some in IFOEDIT w/ no luck. I looked on Doom9's website as well as this one, but haven't found what i'm looking for.

BTW, the reason I didn't use InstantCopy for the entire disk is b/c when I tried it, even though I had the main movie title at 100% it was processing it, so I decided just to rip.

Any help on how to create working IFOs would be greatly appreciated.

  5. I was waiting for you to BUMP yourself another ten times hahahah...

Anyway, If you have the ORIGINAL .IFO's from the DVD, then you can fix your problem, these are the ones BEFORE you did any ReEncoding. If you dont have those, well, you got a boat anchor. It MAY be saved using IFOupdate in adjust cell mode, this is only a guess though, sice you modified the Nav pointers in the main menu, then transcoded the movie seperately, the pointers are all screwed up. BACK-UP everything and try IFOupdate v.070, its your best bet.

  7. Well.. i tried ifoupdate.. with no luck... does this mean I'm SOL?? I suppose I could just use IC again, and include the movie this time... i just don't understand why IC processes the main movie, if i leave the quality set at 100%.
Is there anything else I could try??
