    Hi there,
I've done my first SVCD (w/header trick) in order to play it on my Sony Stand Alone DVD.
I did it frameserving from virtualdub + subtitles filter, Encoded in TMPGEnc. After that, I did cut each MPG file using TMPGEnc and finally did the header trick to each of the 4 new files.
Here is where the question appears.....when cutting the file in TMPGEnc, you have the choice to select the type of file….if I chose “MPG-1 Video-CD (non-standard)” would it be the same that cutting & then multiplexing?....would this be a cutting & header tricking single operation?

    Thx for the help.

I don't know if this was a stupid question, or nobody wanted to spend a couple ofr minutes helping me....but, if someone there wants to know...IT WARKED. So you can cut & do the header trick in just 1 pass.

The problem is that cutting with TMPGEnc produce lack of last 20 secs of sound on the resulting files.

That can happen when cutting mpegs. I always use the source range function, and I batch encode to avoid cutting. 8)
