  1. I'm using bbMPEG, IFOEdit, and ImgTool. When I try burning my DVD in ImgTool it complains that the "VIDEO_TS.VOB" file is missing. Obviously it is as my main video is the "VTS_01_1.VOB". It says that without a "VIDEO_TS.VOB" that the DVD might not be playable. I've tried DVDs made without the "VIDEO_TS.VOB" on many players and it seems to work fine. Is this really an issue? If for some players it is a problem then what do I do to resolve this? Do I make a MPEG2 video with a few frames of black and author that into a VOB and put it in the VIDEO_TS directory? The "VIDEO_TS.VOB" is the video played first, right? Thanks!

  2. Use DVDToolbox.

It has a Create VIDEO_TS.IFO selection, but you are correct this is NOT needed. Its usually used for the stupid FBI warnings / studio logos. Dont sweat it, its just extra garbage, uless you want to make one and put a small intro clip in there.
