Going crazy... trying to make dvd's out of videofiles i got on my puter. But in some of them the audio is horrible on the finished dvd... blurry and isch!
I use VirtualDub and TMPGEncs..... Somebody plz help me out!!![]()

Download a small program called AVICODEC and this will give you the information you need.
I can't quite remember where I got it from; just do a search on this site.#

After you download the file, right click on the file and click properties. That will tell you what type of file it is.
Download Gspot from the Tools section on this site and it will tell you if you have the correct codecs installed on your machine. -
Baldrick, I am still fairly new to this. I have been using Gspot this far. Are you saying that AVICODEC is better than Gspot?

Gspot is good for avi sources but not for mpeg/mpeg2(vcd,svcd,dvd).

Thanks you all for the good help! I checked one file I have problems with and both GSpot and AVICODEC tells me that I got the right codecs installed. And I can look at the file on the puter. And hear the sound.
But still, when I burn a DVD after running the file through both TMPGEnc and IfoEdit, the sound is horrible......
