    Power DVD (and I think WinDVD) has a feature that allows you to capture screenshots from within the player, does this help?

    Ok, but it do it once at a time. I would like to find one to create from a lot of files, many ones, automatically.

    i haven't tried this, and it may sound stupid, but it just might work...

    start up a program that can load and process many different files sequentially (videomach or whatever)

    set framerate extremely low (aka the intention is to drop most of the frames)

    if the program supports it, have the result saved to multiple independent images, if not, just save it to an avi and then use something else to convert the (short very fast ) avi frame by frame to images

    it's just an idea...
